This photo was taken on top of Kaiwa Ridge Trail also known as the Lanikai Pillbox Hike on the island of O’ahu. When I hiked up here it was above 80 degrees and I didn’t have the right shoes on. Sadly, this is all the further I made it by myself. At least I got this amazing panorama that overlooks the Lanikiai islands and the ridge. It’s intriguing how the colors in the sky change from a haze on the inland side to a vivid blue towards the ocean. I don’t believe I’ve ever been to a more beautiful place yet! Someday I will complete this hike making it to the 2nd bunker.
